The Toolkit is the primary knowledge and training delivery instrument developed by the project. It
provides VET providers, staff representatives associated with NGOs and SMEs in the mushroom
industry, and individual learners and entrepreneurs with an integrated set of resources covering
three interconnected functional areas:

  • Key competences for delivering Work-Based Training (WBT): A structured articulation of
the technical, pedagogical, and entrepreneurial competences required to design and
deliver effective work-based training in the mushroom farming sector, mapped to EQF
descriptors and aligned with the EntreComp (Entrepreneurship Competence Framework).
  • A Capacity-Building Framework (CBF) for initial vocational education and training (IVET):
An instructional strategy providing educators, trainers, and enterprise mentors with a
structured approach to curriculum design, learning sequence development, and
pedagogical methodology for mushroom farming vocational training, adaptable across
different national VET systems and delivery contexts.
  • An evaluation grid for VET learner assessment: A standardised instrument for conducting
competence-based assessment of VET learners working toward qualification in
mushroom farming and circular agricultural enterprise, providing assessors with clear
performance criteria, evidence requirements, and judgement guidance.
