From 31 October to 2 November 2025, partners of the Erasmus+ MUSH-LINK Project gathered in Paralio Astros, Greece for an international industry field trip and study visit. Hosted in the picturesque coastal town of North Kynouria, the visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between vocational education and training (VET) providers and the mushroom farming business sector across the Western Balkans and Greece.

The event brought together representatives from Serbia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo, including partners  EKOFUNGI, MERAKI PEOPLE, ETMI, ESI, PLATANDJUN, and the University “Haxhi Zeka.” The sessions were held at Canava Café in Paralio Astros, providing an inspiring setting that combined professional exchange with local cultural experience.

The study visit focused on practical learning and direct engagement with the mushroom farming sector. Participants explored innovative cultivation practices, discussed business models, and examined opportunities for integrating circular economy principles into mushroom production. The visit offered firsthand insight into how mushroom farming can serve as a sustainable, low-impact agricultural activity with strong potential for rural and peri-urban development.
